Phone-line soundMakes the elves sound like they’re on the other end of a telephone. Show your script during callsYour lines are in large type. Elf lines are smaller so you can follow along.

All elf voices are built in. Pick a contact, and the call rings through. The elf speaks, then the pad waits for you. Tap anywhere on the screen when you finish your line (or when the kids finish answering), and the elf answers. A Bluetooth clicker or keyboard works too: Space, Enter, Right arrow or Page Down.

The contacts are on two pages of four. Swipe left or right to move between them, or tap the dots under the contacts. Page 1: Peggy, Neville, Bernard and Mrs. Claus. Page 2: Barnaby, Pip, Clementine and Blizzard Bob.

Neville’s call asks you which answer to give before it rings: nice list, on the edge, or needs work. The kids never see the choice.

For bedtime, end with Mrs. Claus, Clementine or Blizzard Bob. Each one sends the kids off to bed.
